The Anchorage is an architecturally and historically significant property in the Chicago neighborhood of East Garfield Park, dating back to the late 1800s.

The property was purchased in 2023 by the founder of Good Chaos to save its historic buildings, and to honor its history of caring for women and their children. Good Chaos is collaborating with Garfield Park leaders and residents to explore how The Anchorage can contribute to the neighborhood, honor the area’s rich cultural heritage, and provide space for economic and creative opportunities. It will offer public gardens, a cafe, and spaces uniquely designed for relaxation, creativity, and connection. Good Chaos is committed to The Anchorage being a place where community members feel welcomed, respected, and inspired.
